Once again Jamie Smith AKA Jamie XX, one third of the creative minds behind the XX, is back with an enigmatic homage to the UK 1990’s rave scene. Sampling extracts of Mark Lecky’s experimental film “Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore”, “All Under One Roof Raving” includes the usual steel drum synths, mixed with beat heavy bass lines and garage glints. Influenced by the likes of Joy O, Zomby and Burial, the song also features samples of MC chatter, rave whistles and interview snippets to enhance the mystique of longing nostalgia. Along with recent singles “Girl” and “Sleep” Sound’, the song is set to feature on the producers much anticipated album, with no rumors of a release date as of yet.
