BURNING HOUSE + YUMI AND THE WEATHER @ The Prince Albert on Weds Sept 18th

About: Hailing from Southampton, these purveyors of a sound that spans beautiful melancholia through to noisy feedback-driven post-rock, are fronted by guitarist Aaron Mills, joined by Ruby Taylor also on guitar, drummer Dominic Taylor and bassist Patrick White. Counting amongst their fans BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, they’ve just dropped their album debut “Anthropocene” (MiOhMi Records), featuring a varied mix of US indie and shoegaze, with impressive melodic arrangement and a journey through stripped back pieces and faster-paced, upbeat material. Also on the night enjoy some psych-pop from Yumi And The Weather and 80s post-punk influenced Winter Gardens with their enthralling dream-punk.

Info: 8pm, £6 + bf / £8 on the door, 18+.
