Venue Info:

Address
Brighton centre, Kings Road,
Brighton
BN1 2GR
United Kingdom

The Brighton Centre is one of the largest purpose-built conference and entertainment venues in the South East of England. Each year they hold a huge range of live events including live music, rock gigs, comedy acts, classical concerts, theatre shows, exhibitions and good old fashioned family entertainment – hopefully you’ve found something you fancy attending and will find the following info (much more at the site) useful in planning your experience with them.

Opening Hours

The Brighton Centre Box Office is open Monday to Saturday 10am – 4pm on non-event days. These times may differ on Bank Holidays and during holiday seasons so if you plan to visit during these times please check.

The Brighton Centre is located in the heart of the city on Brighton seafront. They’re easily accessible via public transport and are a short walking distance from Brighton Mainline Railway Station, Pool Valley Coach Station, city centre bus stops and taxi ranks; they also have their own cycle racks located at the front and rear of the venue.

If you are looking to drop off or pick up a friend or family member we strongly advise you to decide on a rendezvous point a short walk from the venue as the roads directly surrounding them can get congested on event days, particularly after live music shows and concerts.

As with most cities, parking in Brighton is at a premium so if you wish to drive to the Brighton Centre please be aware that they do not have their own car parking facilities. There are lots of options for car parking surrounding the venue and you can find car park information here.

Please be aware that the car parks closest to the venue (NCP run Churchill Square 1 and 2, and Russell Road) can get very busy when shows finish and you may have to queue to exit for up to 30 minutes.

Covid Info At The Venue

Covid info

England is now in Step 4 of the government’s COVID-19 roadmap where legal restrictions on social contact have been removed. Therefore, there will be no limits in place on capacity nor on the amount of people who can attend events at the Brighton Centre.  With this in mind, they are re-opening the venue, including their public facing Box Office, in September and they can’t wait to welcome you back.

Things are going to have to be a little different and below you will find everything you need to know about visiting the Brighton Centre. As always, the health and safety of their customers, clients, artists and staff remains their number one priority.

They have implemented several important measures to reassure and protect everyone who visits the Brighton Centre. These measures are implemented in accordance with the current advice and guidance from the government, Brighton & Hove City Council and Public Health. All their policies will be continually reviewed subject to the latest advice, guidance, laws and technologies in place and available to this industry. It’s good to check back on the info page at their site before your visit in case any of the guidance has changed.

So, what are they doing?

Most importantly, and like many venues in the city and across the country, they will be using the NHS COVID Pass which confirms visitors have either:

• Completed a full course of vaccination at least 14 days before the event, or
• Have received a negative PCR or lateral flow test result within 36 hours of the event, or
• Have proof of natural immunity by way of a positive PCR test taken within the last 180 days but not within the 10 days prior to the event

All visitors must hold an NHS Covid Pass to gain access to the Brighton Centre and be prepared for a visual check by venue staff when requested.

Failure to be able to produce the required certification will result in entry to the venue being refused.

Under 18’s do not need to show the COVID Pass or show proof as advised by the NHS but are still encouraged to test prior to the event. Medical exemptions will be permitted.

They will continually review and assess this measure in line with the prevailing guidance. Further information about the NHS COVID pass is available in their COVID-19 FAQS at the site.

Alongside the NHS COVID Pass the following measures will be in place

  • They’ll have enhanced cleaning before and after each event
  • A Clean Team will be in operation during an event focusing on high level touch points and toilets
  • The air conditioning will be operating via Fresh Air only, please be aware that this may make the venue colder or hotter than usual
  • There will be hand sanitising stations on entry and throughout the venue
  • The NHS Test and Trace Check-In QR code will remain available, and they recommend you use it
  • They’ll have informative signage throughout the venue supporting health and hygiene messages
  • Their staff will be wearing face coverings (if not exempt) and will also have to show an NHS COVID Pass to gain access to the venue
  • There will be many other measures in place that you cannot see but will be supporting the safety of everyone at the venue

And they ask that you:

  • Undertake your own health risk assessment and consider if, due to any personal vulnerabilities, you are ready to attend an event
  • Please play your part in helping them to help you by adhering to COVID safety measures in place at the event, including observing directions given by staff
  • Don’t bring a bag but if you do it must be no larger than a sheet of A4 paper (21cm x 30cm x 19cm)
  • Arrive early. They’ll have a range of delicious dishes available in the food court and drinks available from the bars. Please note that they will not be held responsible if you miss any part of the performance due to being held outside the venue in a queue
  • Wear a face covering when entering, moving around, and leaving the venue
  • Be prepared to show an NHS COVID Pass when asked by a member of staff (unless under 18yrs old or medically exempt)
  • Consider wearing a sunflower lanyard, if applicable, to help staff assist where necessary
  • Use contactless or card payments only*
  • Be Kind to staff and respect other customers, keeping your distance where you can and appreciate that some people may still be apprehensive
  • Take a quick lateral flow test before you come to the venue, even if you’ve been vaccinated, just in case
  • And finally, if you have been instructed to self-isolate, have COVID-19 or are showing any symptoms (a high temperature, new and persistent cough, or a loss of/change in sense of taste or smell) you MUST NOT come to the venue

*all of their catering outlets including the bars are now card only and cash will not be accepted. This method of payment is encouraged throughout the venue apart from the cloakroom which will still be operating as cash only (£2 per item, please take the right change).

The venue thanks you for your co-operation with these measures. We all have a part to play in helping beat the pandemic, and after being closed for 18 months it’s important that we return to live events in the most socially responsible and secure way possible.

Let’s do this together and make sure that #BrightonWillRockAgain
