Release review: Marsicans “Friends” – Single, out now

This Leeds-based art pop four piece impress with their latest single, which heralds the most furiously energetic guitar pop we’ve heard since the early days of the Futureheads.

Centering on the paranoid feeling that you’re losing your friends even though they’re right in front of you, the fevered uptempo indie-garage ditty serves up some serious vocal harmony acrobatics along with irresistible indie dancefloor beats guaranteed to have you jumping up and down (whilst holding your friends close of course).

Out now, 7/10
