This year Richard Herring, of Lee & Herring fame, is taking on the biggest theme of them all…death. After tackling religion, Fascism, love and penises, Herring attempts to make light of the darkest of all comedic subjects with his well-oiled routines.
If Herring’s previous shows are anything to go by, We’re All Going To Die is sure to induce thought as well as laughter – something that is too often lacking from the irreverent humour of the big “Roadshow” comedians. This has always been Herrings appeal. Whilst former partner Stewart Lee may have taken the King of alternative comedy crown, Herring has carefully cultivated his childish, court jester role. Always rude, but always challenging preconceptions. If you’re not making someone in your audience angry, you’re not doing a good job.
9:30pm, October 18, Studio Theatre, £16
